Vienna, Poland and Israel

Join a group of forty Canadian university-age participants on a journey
designed to witness the past and experience the future of the Jewish People.

For over a decade, the Anguish to Hope program has provided hundreds of
Canadian Jewish students with the opportunity to witness the remnants of the
rich Jewish life that existed in pre-war Europe. This year Anguish to Hope
participants will be exposed to our rich heritage in the Vienna and Poland.
They will also witness the remnants of Nazi death camps in these countries.

From Europe participants will travel to Israel, where they will have an
opportunity to reflect on their experience in Vienna and Poland while
exploring their connection to the promise and joy of the Jewish State.

The program includes:

Vienna's Jewish Museum, Vienna's Stadttempel Synagogue (est. 1826 ), &
Judeplatz; the Sigmund Freud House; Krakow's Jewish Quarter, The Rama
Synagogue; Shabbat in Krakow; Auschwitz-Birkenau; Majdanek; Warsaw's Gensha
Cemetery; The Warsaw Ghetto;

Shabbat in Jerusalem; The Western Wall; Yad Vashem, Israel's national
Holocaust Museum, Sunrise atop Massada; Floating in the Dead Sea; Touring in
the Upper and Lower Galilee; Sleeping under the stars at a Bedouin Camp in
the Negev Desert; Relaxing at the Ein Gedi Oasis;, Tel Aviv; Hiking in the
Golan Heights.

Anguish to Hope is led by two Canadian program leaders, an Israeli tour
educator, a survivor of the Shoah and additional specialists. There are
forty spots for participants on this year's program. Applicants will be
accepted to the program on a first-come first-served basis according to when
their preliminary application and deposit are received.

Anguish to Hope is sponsored by UIA Federations Canada, Canada Israel
